idea machina

This may be my final visual diatribe against AI, it was never fair fight, but I refuse to leave the ring.

I wanted to do something small and simple, a nice easy 12"x12", something quick, what could go wrong? Well, I had a lot of interruptions, and I decided to start again from scratch, and frankly a rare lack of motivation, and here we are about 6 months later. I wanted to express human ideation but I had already done the typical skull and light bulb, so what if I put the bulb inside the skull and see what it looked like lit up? I have one of those medical skulls that you can remove the skull "cap" and the opening for the vertebral column was perfect for the electrical cord. To my surprise it looked pretty amazing. The different densities of the skull really allowed the light to emanate in a way that made the skull look like a lit bulb itself. However, I was afraid the heat from the bulb might damage the skull or set the studio on fire so I decided to work from a photo. I nestled my dear Yorik into a soft bedding of fabric lit the bulb, photographed it, and six short months later, voila! Thank you for your patience.
